Author Eric Litwin Visit

Get ready for a few groovy events of music, laughter, and storytelling! 🎸📚

Our RCS Parent Groups: A.W. Becker PTA and Pieter B. PTO have scheduled some great events next week for our elementary students and their families.

Eric Litwin is a song-singing, guitar-strumming, #1 New York Times bestselling author whose award-winning books Pete the Cat, The Nuts, Groovy Joe, and The Poop Song have sold over 16 million copies and inspired a love of reading in children across the world. His interactive performances combine music, positivity, and early literacy in a way that kids (and adults!) will love.

Join the A.W. Becker PTA on Monday, October 20, at 6:00 PM at A.W. Becker Elementary School for a Family Performance with Eric Litwin, the original author of Pete the Cat! The performance will last approximately 45 minutes and is open to all RCS families.

Eric will also perform for our elementary students during in-school assemblies:

A.W. Becker on Tuesday, October 21.

Pieter B. Elementary on Wednesday, October 22.

We’re excited to welcome this talented author to RCS and look forward to our students experiencing stories and songs that inspire joy, laughter, and a love of reading.

We’re grateful to our PTA and PTO for their support in making these events possible. Follow them on social media to stay connected with future activities, including upcoming Trunk or Treats, fundraisers, and other school initiatives.

Community Event: Bridge Street Sidewalk Improvement Project

The Town of Bethlehem is inviting local residents and families to get involved in a sidewalk replacement project along Bridge Street (NYS Route 396) between Smith Avenue and South Street in South Bethlehem.

A Public Meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 29, at 6:00 PM in the A.W. Becker Elementary School cafeteria (1146 US-9W, Selkirk).

The meeting will begin with a brief presentation about the preliminary sidewalk design plans and provide an opportunity for residents to provide feedback. The sidewalk replacement project will also include crosswalks and curb ramps. These improvements will increase pedestrian safety and comfort and encourage more people to walk in Bethlehem.
