Important Dates & Reminders

May 2026

We are reminding families about some important district dates and transportation events that are coming up in the month of May. If you have any questions, please reach out to your student’s main office.

Early Dismissal and Closures

Thursday, May 21: Dismissal Reminder

This is a reminder that end-of-day dismissal on this day will follow the Friday dismissal schedule as it precedes a holiday or recess.

Middle School and High School: will be released at 2:02 p.m., and there will be no 10th period or 5 p.m. buses.

Elementary: Parent pick up will begin at 2:50 pm, and bus dismissal will be at 3:00 pm. Please expect your student(s) home half an hour early.

Friday, May 22: No School (Recess Day)

There will be no school for students that day. This date was designated as a contingency day on our instructional calendar in case the district needed to use all allotted emergency closure days. Because we used fewer emergency (snow) days than anticipated, May 22 is a recess day.

Monday, May 25: No School (Memorial Day)

The District will be closed on this day in observance of Memorial Day. Enjoy the long weekend, RCS!

Use the Stopfinder for updated information on your student's daily transportation assignments.

Please contact transportation@rcscsd.org if you haven’t received an email invitation to register for Stopfinder, or if you have any questions regarding your student’s schedule.

Visit our Transportation Department webpage for more details.
